A Lonely Day Tuesday - Day 17

Karen here again.  This will be a simple posting.  No pictures, because today was a plain and rather lonely day as my title mentions.  We started the day saying good-bye to our new friends the Macy's.  Sergey is also their facilitator and driver so he will be taking them over to Lugans'k this morning and will stay the night there as well.  So no Sergey here either.  He will be taking care of some things for the Macy's today having to do with their adoption and also go to the little town where our children were born and lived until the time they went to the Internot.  He will go there to work on getting that corrected court decree that we need in order to set a court date.  We haven't gotten any response by handling it by phone, so he hopes showing up in person might make all the difference.  This town is very close to Lugans'k so we are glad he can work this in as well as work on the Macy's adoption.

Kaden has a little cold so he rests a lot of today (Tuesday) and I upload photos for a large posting to the blog so he can work on the writing part later in the day.

Again this is a rather lonely day because the children at the Internot are loading up on a bus to go to Lugans'k also.  We will not be visiting with them today.  There is a circus that will be performing there for the orphanages in the surrounding areas.  The Internots in Severodonetsk and Lutugino being two of them.  I know Luba was going dressed as a rabbit and will be reciting a poem.  Vladik will be reciting something as well. We will miss visiting with them today.

We hear from the Macy's right before dinner that they have gotten a court date for Friday the 31st.  How exciting.  We wait for news about our court date and it is looking more and more like it might be after the first of the year, but God has gotten us to this point and everything has been according to His timing so we trust that if it is after the first of the year, then that is when He ordained it to be and we will wait.

The last part of our lonely day was dinner.  The dining room was booked this evening for a New Year's party.     This is where we tend to eat when we don't have Sergey around to drive us somewhere else.  They fix wonderful food, but we like a little variety.  Anyway, the party room is booked for a banquet as well, so I'm wondering what we will do.  Maybe room service, which I'm not even sure they have.  The hostess gestures for us to follow her.  We follow her straight through the kitchen to the other side.  She opens a door to a room with a long dining table in it.  Gestures us to sit and hands us menus.  Now isn't this the perfect end to a lonely day?  We are in a room all by ourselves to eat dinner.  It was quite, no music, no forks clanking plates.  You know, no restaurant noise.
We were enjoying our first, quiet peaceful meal together just the 3 of us, since we left home.  Just like we have so many evenings at home in Mississippi.  What a blessing from God to enjoy a day of rest and peace!

PS We made a new find today at the nearby "quick store" (sorry, but I don't know the name of the store, since I can't read Russian.)  We went just to get some juice, but the pastries caught our eye.  We bought a couple to bring back to our room and try.  Oh my goodness, I'm in trouble now!
