Well today was our first day without Sergey, and the first day of our ten day waiting period. For those who don't know what that is, it's a ten day waiting period to allow those who might want to object to the adoption and take the children in themselves. It's just a formality and 90% of the time nothing happens, especially since not many people here are willing to or can even support four kids. Well, as we are used to doing here, we slept in today, there is not much to take care of so why not? After we got our late breakfast we got ready to go to the orphanage.
We took the shortcut Sergey showed us and got there in 10 minutes, it didn't take long before we found the kids and we went to Vladik's and Luba's floor to visit. One would be hard pressed to find a funnier kid than Vladik in all Ukraine, and Luba's funny too. We played around with an American football for a little while and played Uno and Go Fish. One of Luba's friends is celebrating his birthday today. So we sang Happy Birthday to Kola and got a picture of the two friends together. After the visit, we had reservations at the hotel restaurant at 7 pm for New Year's Eve. We ended up staying all the way till midnight, which means we stayed in our booth for five hours. We got the chance to experience the holiday Ukraine's way, I miss our usual party we go to every year though, but we had a good one here.
And to everyone who is reading... HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

Looks like you guys had an awesome time! The music sounds like all the songs I've heard in Ukraine! My ipod has been a saving grace since Brian left!
