THE CHEAPNESS OF A FATHER Monday, Day 2.

Monday we woke up, but only dad and I.  We went downstairs and found that we missed the complimentary breakfast, but fortunately they had menus that we could order off like a restaurant. My dad ordered an omelet and I ordered eggs and bacon, hash-browns and toast, but the hash-brown was the best. With mom still in bed though we needed a meal for her, so........ dad packed up the leftovers and made it look pretty, all while he informs me and educates me that this will score him points with mom. When we get back up to our room, mom is still asleep and in a few minutes she gets up and eats. We get packed and ready to go and make our way downstairs, check out and wait a few minutes for the shuttle to arrive.  We get in and drive to a different hotel and picked a woman up and then we we're off to the airport. We all get signed in and we make our way to Cinnabon  and buy some cinnasticks which were bad!!!  Then we go to the preliminary checkpoint ( place where they make sure we don't have to many carry-ons) and the lady challenged Dad for having two carry-on suitcases (Mom and I each had one carry-on suitcase and backpack which was ok), we answered her saying we are allowed two carry-ons, and then she asked what airline we are flying with and we say United and then the lady gets upset because dad has two small suitcases and not a backpack and a small suitcase, but she let us through anyway and we go through security and get to ride in a mini subway to our gate,we do a lot of walking to get where we need to be and then we just wait. We get on our plane and are seated between two very nice people. Thus begins the seven and a half hour plane ride, we get served our meal of pasta or chicken dinner, I got pasta and it makes me sick just to think about it! The plane had video screens in the back of the person's chair in front of you that you could watch movies on and some other stuff.  I get to the point where I have to go to the bathroom REALLY bad so I get up and go to the restroom but every stall was full so I waited and then they tell me to go sit back down!!! I do and just when I say I can't take much more, the light for seat belts went off, YESSSS!!!!!! Once that's over I am okay but later my arms and legs start to hurt and finally I figured out a position that helped to relieve the pain and to help it even more I tried to focus on the movie. The second meal (breakfast) was fine and then later we landed.  Once we got out we realized how big the airplane really was.  We rush to our next flight and pay $10 for a bottle of water and a sprite because Mom's sinuses are really burning and are dry.  We get on our next flight to Kiev and I do get a nap in thank goodness and so did mom.  When we get to the Kiev airport some of the rooms we went through were smoky from cigarette smokers.  We were met at the airport by a guy holding a sign with the name ROWELL on it.  He excorted us to where we needed to be, picked up bags and handed us over to another guy with another sign that said ROWELL which took us to the apartment where we would stay for the next few days.  It is extremely nice (you never would have thought it from outside.)  Our Ukrainian facilitator and her Husband catch up with us at the apartment and we are shown around town.  We get some things from the market which was cool because there was a clothing store on the first floor and in the basement was the market, we got our things and then went back to the apartment and passed out.
